Gokul Patnaik

President

Gokul Patnaik is the chairman of Global AgriSystem Pvt. Ltd. He is also the vice chairman of Katra Group.

Prior to taking premature retirement from the government, Mr Patnaik had an illustrious career as a civil servant. As a member of the prestigious IAS, he served in senior positions both with the government of Punjab and government of India. While in government, he headed a number of PSUs including Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation(PSIDC), Punjab MARFED, Punjab Agro Industries Corporation (PAIC) and The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under the ministry of commerce. He was instrumental in pioneering the entry of pepsi foods, the fast multinational company to central indian market in 1987

Gokul Patnaik has been the president of the All India Food Processors’ Association, a member of the National Council of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and a member of the Task Force on Agriculture of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

Gokul Patnaik is a well known authority on agribusiness and has contributed many articles on the subject. His views are frequently sought for by the government as well as the private sector.

Sanjib Kumar Mohanty is a practising advocate in Supreme Court of India and Delhi High Court. Presently, he is a Senior Panel Central Government Counsel at New Delhi. He is also one of the founding member/partner of a full service law firm having office at New Delhi and Mumbai. He is on the panel of many public sector units/banks and corporates for Delhi region.

He is an adjunct professor, Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law (IIT, Kharagpur), Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, Indian Society for International Law, New Delhi and many prestigious law and management schools. He has been associated as resource person on copyright with National Book Trust, Government of India.

He is life member of many well known Socio-cultural organizations like Odisha Forum, Odisha without Border (OwB), Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi, Institute for Promotion of Odishan Culture & Heritage (IPROCH) and Odisha Nagarika Parishad (ONAS).

Mr. Ravi S Pani is a a Chartered Accountant and Law Graduate, with an experience of over 30 years, in the field of Corporate Finance, Legal Compliances and Management Consultancy. He has worked in different sectors of industry like Reality & Infrastructure, Hospital & Health Care, Information Technology, Insurance and Risk Management. Hotel & Hospitality, Telecom Services. Also as Advisor to Ethica India Advisors Pvt Ltd (www.ethicaindia.com )

He is also engaged as Finance Specialist at Project Management & Monitoring Consultants (PMMC), Minst. of Urban Development, Govt. of India and the Asian Dev. Bank (ADB) Grants for development of North-East Region of India under the NERUDP Project, in July 2015.

His major projects include: Reporting on Financial Statements of Project Audit- of SAO (Supreme Audit Office, Govt. Of Afghanistan) – under the Grant ofInternational Development Association (IDA) ofWorld Bank Project.
Municipal Accounting of “Madhya Pradesh Urban Services for the Poor Programme (MPUSP) as Project coordinator.

He also holds membership in different professional societies like, Bar Council of Delhi. He is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also the former President of Insititute of Internal Auditors (delhi) Region and Past Council Member IIA (India).

Dr Nivedita Giri Pradhan

Dr Nivedita Giri Pradhan has been associated with Odisha Forum since 2006. She has been an active member of the Forum and keeps deep interest in overall development of Odisha.

Dr Nivedita Giri Pradhan works as an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science, Kalindi College, University of Delhi. She has done M. Phil and Ph. D. from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has received British Council’s Charles Wallace India Trust Fellowship to do research in UK, 2002.

To her academic credits, there are some books and quite a good number of articles published in various well known journals on themes related to national and international politics.

Before joining University of Delhi, she worked in the development sector and undertook a good number of projects and evaluation studies funded by UN organizations, West Minster Foundation, British High Commission and CARE.

Besides academic works, she has learnt Odissi Dance from Late Guru Harekrishna Behera.

Arundhati Misra Chopra originally from Puri, Odissa is a post graduate in Political Science from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She started her career by joining Indian Airlines as an air hostess. Subsequently, she joined her husband in managing a large export house as director and travelled extensively to the USA, Far East, Middle East, South Asia, Latin America and all over India.

She also managed the India affairs of an established high end designer wear apparel brand of Canada as their India head for business promotion in India.

Currently as a partner, she is running a financial advisory company facilitating funding requirements of some of the top corporates in India with reputed overseas financial institutions. She is a long term member of Soka Gakkai International India, a UN registered Buddhist organization working for the peace and prosperity in the world.

She has been a member of Odissa Forum for the last 12 years and is presently a member of the core governing body as treasurer since the past 2 years.

Dr Monica Das

Dr Monica Das worked as associate professor in Economics at Gargi College, Delhi University. She took voluntary retirement in 2011 after thirty-five years of service.

Dr Monica Das was a fellow at DCRC (Developing Countries Research Centre), Delhi University and visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in the year 2000. Dr Das is currently member IAFFE (International Association for Feminist Economics), Nebraska, USA.

Dr Monica Das has authored books on gender/girl child/women’s issues pertaining to Economics, published by Penguin and Harper Collins. She has presented several research papers in different universities around the world on gender studies focusing on gender justice.

She is the chairperson/managing trustee of Fakir Mohan Foundation (FMF), New Delhi and founder member of Odisha Forum (ODF), New Delhi. She has been vice president, Odisha Forum for two consecutive tenures and has edited several journals including a special journal for government of Odisha and all bilingual journals for Odisha Forum New Delhi since its inception. She is presently governing body member of ODF.

Dr Monica Das has contributed several articles on Economics and India’s cultural heritage to prestigious magazines of India including in-flight magazines of Air India and Business India. She has delivered talks on several topics on overseas Radio and Voice of America and is also a jury member of some committees in Doordarshan.

Dr Das is made films for Doordarshan on Fakir Mohan Senapati which is now available in DVD format with Prasar Bharti Archives. He was invited by Odisha Society for Americas (OSA) for screening Fakir Mohan Senapati film and delivering a talk. Dr Das has recently produced a CD on musical rendition of Fakir Mohan Senapati’s selected poems which was launched by government of Odisha.

Kishore Chandra Dwibedi is working as Chief of New Delhi Bureau of the premier Odia Daily Newspaper, The Samaj.

A holder of M.A. Degree in Economics and P.G. Diploma in journalism, Kishore has been working for The Samaj for the last 19 years. He has been covering parliament, ministries of union government, national political parties, socio cultural Odia organisations based in Delhi and all Odisha related happenings in Delhi for the last 31 years.

Kishore is also an expert commentator on Odisha related election analysis on TV. He has earlier served as chief of New Delhi bureau of The Prajatantra and Eastern Times from 1985 to 1994 and Sambad cum Suntimes from 1994 to 1997.

Kishore Chandra Dwibedi has the rare distinction of serving as member of press advisory committee of Lok Sabha for five terms from 2005 to 2007 being nominated by the then Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee and from 2011 to 2014 and being chosen by former speaker Meira Kumar.

He has been holding the post of the president of Delhi Odisha Journalists’ Association since 1992. Dwibedi has been elected in 2013 as vice president of Odisha Without Border (Aseema Odisha), the conglomerate of Non Resident Odia Socio – Cultural Organisations across the globe.

Dwibedi has been recipient of several awards for his contribution in the field of Odia journalism and exemplary social service, He has been honoured with Pallishri Samman – 2004, Utkal Mail Samman – 2011, Ashraya Samman – 2012, Sa Ma Pa Sangeet Sammelan Felicitation – 2012, Suryakhetra Samman 2013, Rashtirya Gaurav Samman – 2014, Mumbai Odia Samaj Samman – 2014, Utkal Jagruti Samman – 2014, Manana Award – 2015 and Swar Samarpan Felicitation – 2015, and 4th Pillar Lifetime Achievement Award – 2016.

BB Pattanaik

Dr B.B. Pattanaik is presently working as a member in Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority. He was managing director, Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) from July 2008 till September 2014.

He is a gold medalist in M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Entomology from Banaras Hindu University. He joined the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a government of India PSU under the ministry of consumer affairs, food and public distribution in February 1979 and had about 36 years of experience in public sector management.

Dr Pattanaik also worked as joint commissioner (Storage & Research) in the department of food & public distribution, ministry of consumer affairs, food & public distribution, government of India. He was a key member of the team for formulation of government of India’s national policy on handling, storage & transportation of food grains in June 2000.

Dr Pattanaik was the CMD, National Seeds Corporation (NSC) from September 2004 to June 2008. During his tenure as CMD, NSC was turned around from a loss making entity on the verge of being referred to BIFR to a profit making and dividend paying enterprise.

Dr Pattanaik was a director on the boards of Food Corporation of India, Central Railside Warehouse Company, Fertilizer Association of India and elected member of SCOPE executive board.

Dr Pattanaik is passionate about management education and is actively associated with various professional institutions like AIMA, DMA, SCOPE etc. He serves on several expert advisory committees set up by various departments of the central government and is a key speaker on corporate governance, human resource management as well as logistics and supply chain management. Dr Pattanaik is widely travelled and has represented the government of India in various committees.

Dr Pattanaik was also a government of India nominee on the Society of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore.

Dr Pattanaik has been a recipient of Agriculture Leadership Award 2012 instituted by Agriculture Today, the National Agricultural magazine and a Distinguished Alumni Award of Banaras Hindu University.
